Support for Ukraine

In the weeks since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, over 10 million Ukrainians have been displaced and the numbers are only expected to grow. We’ve seen the images of homes and building destroyed, families separated, and many grieving the loss of their loved ones. As a church, we mourn with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters and we pray for peace over the nation and its people.

In response to this tragedy, New Life is partnering with the First Ukrainian Baptist Church of Seattle to send financial support to churches in Ukraine that are currently providing food, shelter, clothes, and basic necessities for those who have been displaced by war. We will be collecting donations until April 17th and the church will match all gifts up to $10,000 in support for this cause.

How you can support our Ukrainian neighbors

  1. PRAY

    • Pray for peace and the stop to war in Ukraine.

    • Pray for the Ukrainian churches to be a beacon of hope in times of darkness; and for the leaders of the church to be strengthened and supported with what they need to care for the people.

    • Pray for the people of Ukraine, that God will comfort and heal. Pray for protection over the civilians who still remain in Ukraine as well as those who who left the country to find a safe place to shelter and receive the care they need.

    • Pray for the Gospel to advance in Ukraine, Poland, and all the neighboring countries throughout Europe as the Church continues to spread the Good News through these trying times.

  2. GIVE

    • Donate to First Ukrainian Baptist Church’s relief fund through our giving page.

** New Life will match all donations up to $10,000 (by April 17th)**

FAQ

  • First Ukrainian Baptist Church is one of the largest Ukrainian immigrant churches in Seattle and they have direct ties to pastors and missionaries in Ukraine who are currently working to care for civilians impacted by war by providing humanitarian aid and sharing the Gospel. By supporting local pastors and missionaries in Ukraine, we know that 100% of funds will go directly to the Ukrainians in need.

  • First Ukrainian Baptist Church has created a relief fund to support local churches in Western and Northern Ukraine (near the border of Poland) where most Ukrainians refugees are populated. All the funds will go towards humanitarian relief and supporting the pastors and missionaries with ministry operational costs. No funds will be used towards supplying weapons or carrying out military operations.
