Back to School Picnic
August 7th | 11am - 1pm | Newport Covenant Church
As students get ready to go back to school, New Life will be partnering with Kinship Connection to host a Back-to-School Picnic on August 7th for Kinship Families. In addition to the community lunch, we will be gifting backpacks, gift cards, school supplies, and clothing so the students can ready and excited for their first day of school. This Covid season has been especially hard on the students and families, so our hope is to encourage them and share Christ’s love through this community event.
Ways to Support
Donate Supplies
You can sign up and shop for needed supplies and drop them off at church on Sundays (latest drop off by August 1)
Volunteer for the Event
Volunteers are needed to set up for the event, help distribute items, and join for fellowship with families through lunch.
Support Financially
You can donate towards the event through our giving page.
About Kinship Connection
Kinship Connection is a local organization (Redmond) that works to support kinship caregivers. A Kinship Caregiver is a friend or family member of a child who is willing to care for them, helping kids avoid the foster care system. This organization currently supports 40 Kinship Caregivers by giving them the support and encouragement they need to love the children in their care. To learn more about Kinship Connection CLICK HERE
